SOMA Community Workshop
A 2-hour workshop to explore the intersection of sacred systems, somatic practice, and creative ritual.
Time & Location
Aug 19, 2024, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Artemis Ethos, 708 Cookman Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712, USA
About the event
Come learn about the profound connection between your body and the natural world…your astrology is not an idea or concept, but rather, a somatic experience.
In this workshop, we will explore the relationship between your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual body through the practice of Agrahana, working with the innate intelligence of the body to heal itself through conscious connection with archetypal energetics, natural developmental movements, and organic patterns. **You will be guided through a seated meditation and a novel movement practice that supports you in deeply attuning to your body and consciously freeing up bound energy. From this embodied place, you will be guided into a creative ritual and encouraged to explore what expresses through you from deeper states of awareness and presence.
If you're new to any of these realms, please consider joining! Kathi will be guiding you as you gently enter into these spaces.
About Kathi:
Kathi is an artist; poet; dancer; transformation and embodiment guide. She has spent the last 15 years cultivating a multidisciplinary practice that alchemizes living systems principles, embodiment, mindfulness, sacred systems, art, and regenerative design to co-create wellbeing and positive transformation at the level of self, community, nature, and world. She spent the early part of her life devoted to deep training within the realms of classical ballet and fine arts. After over a decade of leaving artistry behind to pursue the sciences, she returned to expressive movement as a way to connect to deeper dimensions of herself and life around her. From this place, she currently serves a local and international community of people in somatic healing and personal transformation work anchored in ancient tradition and modern practice. Her art practice is multi-faceted, with a more recent focus on exploring the mythic body of self and world through poetry and dance, which has taken shape through her first full-length poetry book, PORTALS.
