The Art of Healing Touch: Introducing Tom to the Ethos Family

We're so excited to introduce Tom, our new massage therapist, to the Artemis Ethos community! We’re thrilled to share his passion for holistic healing, emotional balance, and overall well-being with you.

I began my journey in massage therapy at Brookdale Community College, where I was trained in holistic, outcome-based massage. These approaches emphasize the physical benefits of therapeutic touch and our ability to promote emotional balance and overall well-being. True healing comes from treating the whole person (body, mind, and spirit) rather than simply addressing isolated symptoms.

Integrating Eastern and Western Philosophies

Following graduation, I expanded my experience by working in collaboration with integrated health professionals, including acupuncturists and chiropractors. Together, we focused on optimizing client outcomes by blending modalities that improved mobility, reduced pain, and fostered mental clarity and awareness. These experiences deepened my appreciation for the profound connection between the nervous system, physical health, emotional state, and energetic balance while bolstering my desire to bridge eastern and western philosophies of healing.

A Vision for Holistic Wellness

Currently, I am pursuing my nursing degree while working in the emergency department. My goal is to continue practicing massage and working as an ER nurse. In the long term, I aspire to become a holistic nurse and eventually a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. My vision is to open an integrated health office where western medicine, bodywork, and behavioral health collaborate seamlessly to promote comprehensive wellness for every individual.

Community and Balance

Beyond my professional life, I’m proud to be a Belmar local who finds balance through the ocean and community. I enjoy surfing, fishing, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, swimming, and I often unwind by playing guitar, reading, and passively brushing up on the classic wine regions of the world.

My Schedule at Ethos:

Thursdays 11 am and Fridays 11 am- 8 pm

Whether in the water, the clinic, or the ER, I strive to live and work with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for the art and science of healing.

Tom
